Loofah is a cucumber-like zucchini plant that produces spongy fruits. After drying, these can be used as a washing sponge.
When the loofah sponge is dry, it is slightly abrasive, but scratch-free. It's soft enough for nonstick pans and smooth enough to fit into cups.
